Options

Transparent labels are available in two variants:

Labels of any shapes - plotter cut and delivered in sheets. 

Single-use labels. Labels of any shapes, plotter cut within the selected format and then cut into single uses (squares or rectangles) on a guillotine - ready for direct distribution, packaging, inclusion as a gadget or promotional addition.  

Note

Transparent film does not have its own background, therefore all CMYK colors without white underprint will be semi-transparent. The final effect depends on the color and structure of the substrate to which the label is applied.

To achieve full coverage and faithful color reproduction, especially on dark or colored surfaces, it is recommended to use a white underprint. White color can also be used independently – this allows for a minimalist and elegant effect, characteristic of premium markings.

How to prepare files for printing transparent labels

Project sizes

Prepare the design in the size of the ordered use +2mm bleed on each side and a separately prepared cutting line. 

For labels cut into individual uses, the file should have 4 mm bleeds on each side. 

CMYK 

When designing graphics on transparent foil, consider the impact of the substrate on color perception. CMYK printing without white underprint is semi-transparent – colors become partially transparent and take on the color and texture of the surface to which the label will be applied.

If you want full coverage, saturated colors, and faithful color reproduction, especially on dark, colorful, or uneven backgrounds, it is recommended to use a white underprint under the graphics. Remember that transparent foil does not have its own background – any unprinted area remains completely transparent.

Black fill 

The best black effect is achieved by using 100% K.

Designing cutting/scoring lines 

• The cutting line should meet the following requirements

• Be a closed curve in 100% K (black).
• Where possible, use straight lines instead of curves – this will shorten the plotter's working time.
• Avoid unnecessary vertices – too many control points can slow down the cutting process.
• Cutting and scoring lines should be saved in a separate file or on a separate page.
• The start and end of the cut should be on a straight line, not on an arc – this improves cutting precision.

Note! When ordering with the option of cutting into uses, the Client prepares only the scoring line (in the size of the ordered label).  Do not add cutting lines for individual uses. 

Note

If the shape of the label is too complex, the final product may differ slightly from the design (slight rounding).
