Transparent self-adhesive film with UV print for special tasks - discretion and durability

The transparent self-adhesive film ORACAL 640 is a versatile solution for durable markings, labels, and decorations. The transparent substrate is perfect wherever the design needs to look like a direct print on the surface.

Thanks to excellent adhesion, the film is suitable for application on smooth surfaces – glass, plexiglass, polycarbonate, metals, and plastics. Combined with white underprint, it is possible to achieve full, saturated colors with high durability.

UV printing ensures resistance to UV radiation, moisture, scratches, and external factors. The ORACAL 640 film is dedicated to both indoor and outdoor applications, where long-lasting effect and aesthetics are important.

Printing Technology

Prints are made with the highest precision of UV printing with the possibility of white underprint. UV printing guarantees excellent color saturation, moisture resistance, and UV radiation resistance, making these products a durable solution for both indoor and outdoor applications. 

Each print on transparent film is made with white underprint, ensuring excellent visibility of graphics and intense color reproduction.

Application

For transparent films, it is possible to attach them on both sides of the glass (on the surface and under the surface), allowing the print to be viewed both on the glass and through the glass. 

Dimensions

Maximum sheet size: 700 mm (width) x 500 mm (height).

How to prepare files for printing on transparent foil with UV printing

Project sizes

If the graphics or background are to reach the edge, prepare the project in the size of the ordered use +2mm bleed on each side, extending them beyond the cutting line.

Project format and white underprint

  • The project must include an additional page or a separate file with a white underprint for the entire graphic.
  • Projects viewed under the surface (e.g., window stickers) should be prepared in mirror image to avoid application errors.

Formats and limitations

Due to the specifics of the foil, the project can be freely adjusted, taking into account color printing, white underprint, and cutting lines. However, remember that:

  • the maximum print area is 674 x 474 mm
  • cutting lines cannot exceed 670 x 470 mm
  • the white underprint must fit within the printed graphic.

Mirror image 

Projects viewed under the surface should be prepared in mirror (mirror image), which will prevent possible mistakes during ordering.

Cutting and scoring lines

  • Design cutting lines as hairlines in red color (100%M+100%Y).
  • Minimum distance between cutting lines: 3-4 mm
  • Please include a page with cutting lines only for shapes other than rectangular.
