Prototypes are printed using digital technology and are not intended for color approval. They are only used to assess whether the box folds correctly, has the appropriate rigidity, and whether the design is properly aligned with the die-cut. Due to differences in printing technology, colors in offset printing may differ from the prototype. The option to create a prototype holds the execution of the order until it is approved by the Client.

Tray Box

The tray is a versatile and functional packaging with a simple, open shape, ideal for displaying and storing products. It works perfectly both as a standalone package and as part of a set. Printing allows the tray's appearance to be matched to the brand's visual identity, making it an aesthetic medium for visual communication. The tray can be elegantly covered with cellophane and tied with a ribbon, creating an impressive gift package.

Our boxes are an economical and convenient solution with the possibility of ordering from a few pieces to several thousand pieces.  

We offer printed cardboard boxes, produced on GC1 boards and on decorative papers with a weight of 200–400 g/m². These are lightweight materials, usually smooth and excellent for printing, ideal for small and medium packaging. Due to the properties of the cardboard, the maximum dimensions of the packages are approx. length/width 150-180mm, height 50-90mm. If dimensions too large or too small are introduced, the calculator will inform you.  

Application

The tray box is an excellent package for product presentation, packing promotional sets, sweets, cosmetics, or gifts. It also works great as an exhibition package or an internal box in product sets.

Packaging is the first encounter the Client has with your brand, it should say more than a thousand words. Printed cartons emphasize the brand's character, distinguish the product, and build a positive Client experience – from the first glance to the final choice.

Box construction

Non-glued construction, folded with locks. The sides of the tray are equipped with locks with catches that maintain the shape and stability of the construction when folded. The simple form allows for quick assembly and convenient use without the need for gluing.

This box model corresponds to standard constructions found in industry catalogs: FEFCO 0457 and ECMA B15.06.00.00

Printing technology

The calculator supports two types of printing technologies: digital printing on Ricoh Pro C9210 and offset printing on Heidelberg Speedmaster SM52-4 Anicolor. Both technologies ensure high printing precision, and the calculator allows comparison of both technologies in terms of available enhancement and finishing options. This enables the user to match the technology to the specifics of the order, considering the requirements for print run and type of finishing.

Lamination: matte, glossy, Soft-Touch

Varnishing: selective UV varnish, 3D varnish

Metallic finishes: Liquid Gold, Liquid Silver

Personalization

There is also the possibility of print personalization with variable data.

Cutting options

Plotter cutting – for low volumes for short and medium series (without repetitions), test batch, or prototype.

Die-cutting – for medium (with repetitions) and high volumes, ensuring fast and economical production of a larger number of copies.

Delivery

Tray boxes are delivered flat. 

Recommendations/notes

  • We recommend laminating prints on coated papers due to the possibility of cracking on creases. 
  • Due to the properties of the cardboard, the maximum dimensions of the packaging are approximately 140 mm in height, 60 mm in width, and 120 mm in length.
